  • Top Iranian, Swedish diplomats hold talks

The foreign ministers of Iran and Sweden talked about various regional and international issues in a telephone conversation on Wednesday.

According to Tasnim news agency, in the conversation, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and his Swedish counterpart Ann Linde discussed the latest international developments, regional issues, subjects relating to the JCPOA, and the bilateral and consular relations between Tehran and Stockholm.

They also stressed the need for cooperation and consultation for the establishment of peace and security and providing humanitarian aid to Yemen and Afghanistan.

In an online meeting in September, ranking Iranian and Swedish diplomats conferred on the latest developments and situation in Yemen, including the difficult conditions caused by the outbreak of coronavirus, ways to resolve the existing problems, and possible avenues for dispatching food and medical aid to the Yemeni people.
