Iran's defense minister: We oppose any changes to int'l & regional borders

Pars Today – Iran’s minister of defense and armed forces logistics reaffirmed Tehran’s firm stance on preserving territorial integrity and regional border stability during a meeting with his Armenian counterpart.

Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh, stressing the strategic importance of Iran-Armenia relations, stated: “Armenia holds a special position in Iran’s neighborhood policy. The relationship between Tehran and Yerevan is built on strong historical and cultural foundations. Lasting peace in the Caucasus will create significant opportunities for regional development.” He also emphasized Iran’s support for peace treaties between Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan./ IRNA
