Former Israeli PM: Netanyahu prolonging Gaza war for personal gain

Pars Today – Former Israeli prime minister Ehud Olmert stated that the continuation of the war against Gaza stems from the personal and political interests of current PM Benjamin Netanyahu.

Speaking to Foreign Policy magazine, Olmert said a growing number of Israelis believe Netanyahu’s decisions regarding the Gaza war are rooted in his own self political and personal interest. He criticized the Netanyahu cabinet and said, “The only real and feasible path to freeing all the hostages is for Israel to adhere to a ceasefire and end the war in Gaza.”
Previously, in an interview with Al Jazeera, Olmert had called for early elections, saying, “We are certain that if elections are held, Netanyahu’s cabinet will fall.” / IRNA
