  • Iran’s FM urges swift int’l action against Israeli crimes in Jenin refugee camp

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian has described the Jenin refugee camp in the northern occupied West Bank as a bastion of resistance against the occupying Israelis regime, demanding the international community and the Muslim world’s urgent actions against the deadly Israeli military raids.

“The Zionist regime’s ferocious assault on and massacre at the Jenin camp require the immediate action of the international community and Muslim countries against criminals,” Amir-Abdollahian wrote in a post published on his Twitter page on Friday.

“The fort of resistance of Jenin has been stabilized and no retreat is envisaged for it,” he stated.

Earlier, the spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry strongly condemned the brutal attack by Israeli military forces on Jenin refugee camp, which martyred several Palestinians.

In a statement on Thursday, Nasser Kan’ani said the inaction and the deafening silence of relevant international organizations and so-called advocates of human rights in the West over the daily crimes committed by the Tel Aviv regime is painful and a cause for shame.

Kan’ani also called on Muslim states to adopt a united stance and act in defense of the oppressed Palestinian people and their legitimate resistance against the occupiers.

On Thursday, Israeli troops murdered 10 Palestinians in one of the deadliest days in the occupied West Bank since Israeli raids intensified at the start of last year.

According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, nine of the Palestinians martyred were in the Jenin refugee camp, after Israeli forces raided the area.

The other Palestinian, a 22-year-old man, was shot by Israeli forces in the town of al-Ram, north of al-Quds.

In the Jenin raid, which Palestinians have described as a “massacre”, at least 20 others were wounded with live ammunition. Four of them were in critical condition.
