Pars Today – Iran’s under-18 girls’ volleyball team advanced to the top four at the Asian Youth Games.

According to Pars Today, in the ongoing third edition of the Asian Youth Games in Manama, Bahrain, Iran’s under-18 girls’ volleyball team faced Hong Kong on Sunday. The Iranian girls defeated Hong Kong 3-0, advancing to the top four teams.

So far, Iran’s national under-18 girls’ volleyball team has secured victories against Qatar, Bahrain, Chinese Taipei, and Indonesia. Following their win over Hong Kong, they are now set to face the winner of the match between the Philippines and Chinese Taipei.

Iran wins Muay Thai bronze medal

In the ongoing third edition of the Asian Youth Games hosted in Manama, the first Muay Thai final for Iran in the Wai Kru category for girls aged 14–15 took place. Sevda Aghaei ultimately finished fourth with a score of 8.17. Having reached this stage in the preliminary round with a score of 8.07 and a fourth-place ranking, Aghaei secured third place in this age category and claimed a shared bronze medal.

Iran to host two major Asian rowing events

At the Asian Canoeing Confederation meeting held in Thailand, Iran was awarded the hosting rights for two major continental events in 2027. Accordingly, Iran will host the Asian Under-18 Sprint Slalom Championships (Youth Olympic format) on Kish Island and the 2027 Asian Canoe and Kayak Cup in Tehran.

Additionally, Hasan Teymourtash, Iran’s representative, was re-elected by the members as the Chair of the Asian Paracanoe Committee.

Iranian women para-weightlifters featured among top moments at 2025 World Championships

The two medals won by Iran’s national women para-weightlifting team were highlighted among the top moments of the 2025 World Championships in Egypt. The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) website, in a report on the best moments of the World Para-Weightlifting Championships, featured these achievements. One of the highlighted moments involved Atieh Sadat Hosseini and Nikou Rouzbahani, who made history by winning, respectively, Iran’s first-ever para-weightlifting medal and the first medal in this sport at the senior level.
