Pars Today – Iran's presdient has stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran does not welcome war but will respond promptly and decisively to any aggression.

"Masoud Pezeshkian," President of Iran, expressed appreciation for the support and stances of Islamic countries towards the Islamic Republic of Iran in a phone conversation with "Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan," President of the United Arab Emirates, on Friday. He emphasized the importance of continuous and coordinated efforts by regional countries to reduce tensions and contribute to establishing peace and stability.

Elaborating on the principled approach of the Islamic Republic in foreign policy, the President of Iran described strengthening and expanding relations with neighboring and Islamic countries in all fields as a strategic priority for the country. He emphasized: Consolidating fraternal bonds, strengthening the unity and solidarity of the Islamic world, and expanding regional cooperation are fundamental pillars of the Islamic Republic of Iran's foreign policy. The importance of fostering convergence, synergy, and national harmony within the country among all groups, factions, ethnicities, and religions is also the approach of the Iranian government in domestic policy.

Pezeshkian went on to refer to the hostile actions of the United States and the Zionist regime against the Iranian nation, including applying pressure and sanctions, imposing the 12-day war, inciting and supporting recent rioters and unrest, as well as adopting threatening and warmongering positions. Emphasizing that maintaining security and establishing lasting peace and stability in the region are fundamental priorities for the Islamic Republic of Iran, he stated: Iran has not and does not welcome war under any circumstances and does not consider war beneficial to any party. However, unfortunately, Western parties have shown through their actions that, despite their claims, they lack practical commitment to diplomacy and the principles of international law.

Stressing the policy of "dignified diplomacy" of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the President of Iran said: The approach of the Islamic Republic of Iran is based on interaction and dialogue within the framework of international law, mutual respect, and the avoidance of threats and force to resolve issues. At the same time, however, any aggression against the country and nation of Iran will be met with a prompt and decisive response.

The President of the United Arab Emirates also expressed his pleasure at the conversation with the President of Iran, referred to his country's diplomatic efforts to reduce tensions in the region, and praised the principled approach of the Islamic Republic of Iran in prioritizing diplomacy and dialogue to resolve issues and avoid war.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed also emphasized the UAE's readiness for any constructive participation and role in diplomatic processes aimed at achieving security-building solutions and contributing to sustainable peace, stability, and progress in the region.
