Farzad B gas field development
Pars Today – The operational development of the Farzad B gas field, one of Iran’s most complex shared gas fields in the Persian Gulf, has officially begun with the loading of the first wellhead platform jacket.
According to Pars Today, citing IRNA, Keyvan Tarighati, project manager for the Farzad B gas field development, which is jointly shared between Iran and Saudi Arabia, said that due to its unique geological conditions and high pressure and temperature, this field is among Iran’s most challenging offshore sites.
Tarighati added that the load-out operation of the first jacket for the Farzad B development project was successfully completed. The massive 1,485-ton structure, which serves as the foundation for the wellhead platform, is now ready for transport and installation in the Persian Gulf waters. This milestone is considered a vital step in safeguarding Iran’s national interests amid regional gas competition.
