IRGC missile strike on heart of Tel Aviv; no reports of missile interception
Pars Today — Following a new Iranian missile attack, Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv caught fire.
According to Pars Today, citing Mehr News Agency, the airport—located in the central area of the occupied territories—was set ablaze after the new missile strike. Israeli media outlets have published images and videos showing the fire.
Following the attack, sirens sounded again in Tel Aviv and other central areas, and residents were instructed to remain in shelters.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced on Thursday evening that the 20th wave of Operation True Promise 4 had begun. The operation reportedly involved a combined missile and drone attack, including the launch of Kheibar-Shekan barrage missiles targeting locations in the heart of Tel Aviv. The IRGC said the operation coincided with the eve of the birth anniversary of Imam Hassan (PBUH) and was launched with the code phrase “Ya Mu‘izz al-Mu’minin”.
The Israeli newspaper Haaretz reported that the latest Iranian missile attack caused significant damage to several buildings in central areas of the occupied territories.
According to published reports, Thursday night’s strike was described as severe, with the air defense systems of Israel and the United States reportedly failing to intercept the incoming Iranian missiles.
Another Israeli newspaper, Yedioth Ahronoth, wrote that after the defensive systems failed to intercept and destroy the missiles launched from Iran that night, a wave of fear and panic spread across central areas of the occupied territories.
