Pars Today – The spokesperson of the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran said that until the final days of the war, although the enemy repeatedly issued slogans and threats about launching a ground attack, it never dared to carry out an incursion or act of aggression through Iran’s land borders.
According to Pars Today, Brigadier General Mohammad Akraminia, spokesperson of the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran, explained the performance of the Army’s Ground Force during the imposed war in an interview, and while emphasizing the operational successes of these forces, referred to the bombing of U.S. bases by Army fighter jets.
Brigadier General Akraminia stated that the Army Air Force carried out attacks on enemy bases in regional countries, including an anti‑revolution base in Erbil, Iraq, as well as bases in Kuwait and Qatar. He added that a recent report by an American media outlet mentioned a successful operation by Air Force F‑5 fighter jets, which managed to penetrate various layers of U.S.‑designed air defenses and strike a U.S. base.
He described this operation as rare and even unprecedented, adding that after this operation, the Air Force continued launching drones toward enemy bases and the occupied territories until the final day of the war.
The Army spokesperson noted that the Ground Force also played an effective role by firing Fajr and Fateh missiles at enemy bases in regional countries.
He continued: The monitoring and preventive measures taken by the Army Ground Force to protect the borders were highly significant. Until the final days of the war, although the enemy repeatedly issued slogans and threats about carrying out a ground attack, it never dared to launch an incursion or aggression through the land borders. One of the key factors behind this deterrence was the high level of readiness of the Army Ground Force alongside the IRGC forces, which played a decisive role in safeguarding the borders.
Referring to intelligence assessments, the spokesperson said that the Army had been prepared even before the start of the war, and analyses indicated that the enemy was likely planning a military attack on the country.
He added that all Army forces and units were in an optimal state of readiness.
