Iravani: All governments participating in U.S.-Israeli aggression against Iran must be held accountable

Pars Today – Iran’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations emphasized that all governments whose internationally wrongful acts played a role in the aggression of the United States and the Israeli regime against Iran’s sovereignty and territorial integrity must be held accountable.
Amir Saeid Iravani, Iran’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations, said on Thursday evening in response to a letter from six Arab countries that the Islamic Republic of Iran firmly and strongly rejects all baseless accusations and completely unfounded claims raised in letters by Qatar, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
According to a Pars Today report quoted from IRNA, Iran’s ambassador to the UN stated in a letter to the UN Secretary‑General and the President of the Security Council:
The claim by Qatar, the Kingdom of Bahrain, Kuwait, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan that they were exercising the right of self‑defence does not constitute valid and lawful self-defense within the meaning of Article 51 of the UN Charter. Rather, these are internationally wrongful acts by the said states which, under UN General Assembly Resolution 3314, amount to acts of aggression.
Iravani wrote that these governments have deliberately turned a blind eye to the root causes of the current situation on the ground and have ignored a fundamental and decisive reality: namely, that the United States of America and the Israeli regime have committed acts of aggression and carried out unprovoked and unlawful attacks against Iran.
He stressed that the unlawful resort to force and the military attacks by the United States of America and the Israeli regime against the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Islamic Republic of Iran constitute serious, systematic, and widespread violations of both the body of law governing the use of force and the body of law governing armed conflicts.
