Pars Today – The President of Iran said that the stronger the unity of the Islamic Ummah becomes, the more the scope for interference and adventurism by extra-regional powers and the Israeli regime will diminish.

According to Pars Today, Masoud Pezeshkian, President of Iran, during a meeting with Syed Mohsin Naqvi, Pakistan’s Interior Minister, described the continuation and deepening of bilateral cooperation as being in line with the shared interests of both nations and the broader Islamic world.

He added that Islamic countries should, by relying on their common religious, cultural, and strategic ties, move toward unity and greater convergence. “The more the cohesion of the Islamic Ummah is strengthened, the more the ability of extra-regional powers and the Israeli regime to interfere and carry out aggression in the region will decrease,” he said.

Emphasizing the Islamic Republic of Iran’s principled policy of expanding friendly relations with neighboring countries—especially those in the Persian Gulf region—he noted that Iran seeks cordial, stable relations based on good-neighborliness with regional Islamic countries.

However, he added that the United States and the Israeli regime have consistently attempted, through divisive projects and the creation of mistrust, to pit Islamic countries against one another.

He added that major countries of the Islamic world should strengthen regional cooperation and interaction in order to establish lasting peace, security, and stability in the region. He emphasized that in the shadow of Islamic unity and convergence, the Israeli regime would never dare to threaten or attack Islamic countries.

Masoud Pezeshkian also stressed that the major countries of the Islamic world should enhance cooperation and regional engagement to lay the groundwork for sustainable peace, security, and stability in the region, noting that under conditions of Islamic unity and solidarity, the Israeli regime would never have the courage to commit aggression against Islamic countries.

Syed Mohsin Naqvi, for his part, emphasized the deep historical, cultural, and people-to-people ties between Iran and Pakistan. He stated that Tehran and Islamabad have always maintained close and brotherly relations, and that these ties have strengthened even further today.

He added that the people of Pakistan hold deep affection and respect for the people of Iran, expressing hope that under the will and determination of the leaders of both countries, bilateral relations and cooperation would continue to expand further.
