Pars Today – The military advisor to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution stated that Iranian people should know that Iran is serious in negotiations, but its adversaries should know that it is even more serious on the battlefield and in defending the country.

According to Pars Today citing ISNA, Mohsen Rezaei, military advisor to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, said on Sunday night in a special televised news program that the US attack on Iran was “foolish and criminal” and that it affected the entire world, from the United States to Europe and East Asia.

He added that the United States’ major mistake in attacking Iran has had damaging effects on the global economy, and that any continuation of a naval blockade would further increase negative global consequences.

He noted that in military affairs, a blockade is considered equivalent to a declaration of war. He also stated that a ceasefire was unilateral and imposed by the enemy, and despite this, there had been two attempts to militarily pass through the Strait of Hormuz, which was violations of the ceasefire.

Therefore, he said, Iran considers confronting any blockade to be its legitimate right, and emphasized that Iran’s restraint should not be interpreted as acceptance.

He also warned the US military, saying that before the Sea of Oman becomes a graveyard for their ships, they should withdraw.

The commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps during Iran–Iraq War stated that if the United States seeks to block the movement of commercial ships and oil tankers, this would not only escalate tensions in the oil market but also be unacceptable to oil buyers such as China. Therefore, he said, such a blockade would harm countries around the world and is destined to fail.

Mohsen Rezaei further warned the United Arab Emirates, stating that the UAE has made a very serious mistake by aligning itself with the Israeli regime. He said Iran has not closed the door to friendly relations with the UAE, but they must understand that Iran’s patience has limits. The UAE should not become entangled in the conspiracies and schemes of the occupying Israeli regime, because Netanyahu’s goal is to draw the UAE into war in order to prove to Trump that he is not alone in the region in confronting Iran.

Rezaei added that Donald Trump lacks legitimacy both legally and politically, and even among the American public, according to various opinion polls. For example, he was unable to obtain authorization for war from Congress. Internationally, he also lacks support, and even NATO and traditional US allies have not cooperated with him; anti-Iran resolutions proposed by his administration have not been approved.
