Baqaei: Our focus is on ending imposed war; Iran’s consistent demand is lifting all sanctions

Pars Today – The spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry of the Islamic Republic of Iran described the purpose of the Pakistani army commander’s visit to Tehran as continuing the exchange of messages between Iran and the United States, and said: “At this stage, our focus is on ending the imposed war.”
According to Pars Today, citing IRIB News Agency, Esmaeil Baqaei, spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign Ministry, said in an interview with Iran’s Khabar TV channel, referring to the recent visit of a Pakistani delegation to Tehran, that the trip aimed to continue the exchange of messages between Iran and the United States.
He added: “At this stage, our focus is on ending the imposed war, and based on the 14-point proposal of the Islamic Republic of Iran, which has gone back and forth several times, the views of the two sides regarding the various clauses have been exchanged.”
Baqaei added regarding an agreement with the United States: “We are neither close nor far; we are in the stage of finalizing a memorandum of understanding.”
In another part of the interview, the spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign Ministry referred to the issue of the Strait of Hormuz and stressed, “The Strait of Hormuz has nothing to do with the United States. This strait belongs to Iran and Oman as the coastal states, and a mechanism must be defined regarding it.”
The spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign Ministry also emphasized: “Iran’s constant demand is the lifting of all sanctions, and the release of blocked assets is Tehran’s priority.”
