Pars Today — Masoud Pezeshkian has written in a message that the active presence of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the highest-level meetings of the Eurasian Economic Union demonstrates our resolve and determination to expand trade and economic relations with all five members and observer states.

According to Pars Today citing IRNA, Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian stated in a message to the Supreme Council of the Eurasian Economic Union on Friday: "The past year was a fruitful period for the development of trade interactions with the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union. Despite capacities beyond the current volume of trade, realizing this potential requires the establishment of new financial infrastructures, including national currency exchange mechanisms and independence in the payment system."

Pezeshkian emphasized that the Islamic Republic of Iran, while confronting oppressive sanctions and external threats, has consistently maintained its commitment to strengthening the Union and building a powerful region based on national sovereignty and energy security through participation in summit and council meetings.

In another part of his message, Pezeshkian described cooperation with the Union's members as a long-term strategy for regional integration. Pointing to cultural, historical, and geographical commonalities, he stressed the need to maximize existing opportunities to create a successful model of multilateral cooperation.

Iran's president, while inviting regional partners to turn this solidarity into a turning point for shared growth, noted that the future belongs to nations that, through mutual trust and synergy, pave the way for progress and prosperity.

Referring to Iran's active membership in initiatives such as BRICS and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, Pezeshkian stated that presence in the Eurasian Union symbolizes Iran's determination to expand strategic cooperation with neighboring countries in trade, energy, and technology. He declared that regional economic integration is the key to sustainable growth and shared prosperity against the plots of disruptive powers.
