Pars Today – The Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly (Majlis) of Iran emphasized: "We consider the Leader of the Revolution's message as a beacon for the future and the roadmap for the 12th Parliament."

According to Pars Today, citing IRIB News Agency, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Speaker of Iran's Parliament, said in his pre-agenda speech marking the beginning of the third year of the Parliament: "We regard the message of the Supreme Leader of the Revolution as a beacon for the future and the roadmap for the 12th Parliament. We will strive to ensure that the Parliament's actions have a 'direct and tangible relationship' with the country's main issues and the needs of the people, and we will focus on 'creating hope and building the future' by charting a stable path for the economy and livelihoods."

He further stated: "The Leader's special emphasis on the careful and serious study of the statements of the martyred Imam [Khomeini] in his annual meetings with the representatives of Iran's Parliament, especially in recent years, creates a duty for us representatives. It is necessary for the Parliament's Research Center and the Majlis News Agency to compile them systematically and make them available to the honorable representatives."

Ghalibaf added: "His [the Leader's] renewed reminder to maintain unity in the face of the enemy's plots to cause discord and social disintegration in Iran must be taken more seriously by us representatives than ever before. Particularly since He forbade us from turning even legitimate differences into conflict and division, and demanded that we be the embodiment of the nation's cohesion and integrity, both in word and in deed."

No agreement will be ratified until we are certain that the rights of the Iranian nation have been secured

Elsewhere in his remarks, the Speaker of Iran's Majlis stated: "What has been achieved on the military front with our missiles has been with the support and backing of the people. The job of diplomacy is to turn these victories into political and legal achievements, and the duty of the 'service front' is to solve the people's problems using the backing of these victories." He added: "On this path, as I have said many times, the soldiers on the battlefield of diplomacy have no trust in the enemy's words and promises. What matters to us are the tangible achievements that we must secure in order to fulfill our commitments. And no agreement will be ratified until we are certain that the rights of the Iranian nation have been secured."
