Pars Today – The spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran has described the Dutch police attack on the pregnant wife of a Palestinian man as a gross violation of human rights and called on Dutch officials to be held accountable for this action.
According to Pars Today, citing IRNA, Ismail Baghaei, the spokesperson for Iran's Foreign Ministry, wrote early Monday morning in response to a clip published by Al Jazeera TV network showing a Dutch police officer violently throwing the pregnant wife of a Palestinian man to the ground and dragging her along the ground: "This behavior is extremely brutal and unjustifiable. There is no excuse for a violent police attack on a pregnant woman, simply because she wanted to stay by the side of her arrested Palestinian husband."
Baghaei added: "Dutch authorities must pursue this clear violation of human rights and hold the offenders accountable. Such violence is a sign of bias and systematic discrimination within the country's police structure."
