Qalibaf: Era of threatening Iran without consequences is over / Iranian nation struck U.S. like lightning

Pars Today – The Speaker of Iran's Parliament emphasized that Imam Khomeini (God bless his soul) taught the Iranian nation not to retreat in the face of bullying and domination. Inspired by that same school of thought, the Iranian people demonstrated in their confrontation with the United States and the Zionist regime that the era of threatening Iran without consequences has come to an end.

According to Pars Today, citing IRNA, Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf, said in a message on Wednesday marking the anniversary of Imam Khomeini's passing on June 4:

“Eventful Khordad is a month whose first half is intertwined with the dawn of Imam Khomeini’s movement—an Imam who spoke no word except for God and took no step except in God's path—and with the awakening of the Iranian Islamic nation. Its fourteenth day commemorates the heavenly ascension of the elder and guide of freedom-seekers around the world and the beginning of the leadership of the martyred Leader of the Revolution. It is a month that provides an opportunity to revisit the identity-forming elements of the Islamic Revolution and renew our commitment to the lofty ideals of the founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran.”

He further stated in the message:

“Although ‘Leader Seyyed Ali Khamenei’ is no longer among us today, ‘Martyr Khamenei’, through his pure blood, has ensured the continuation and endurance of the movement of the Great Imam Khomeini and has handed down the banner of dignity, independence, and resistance to future generations more proudly than ever before.”

Qalibaf also stressed that, under the guidance of the wise Leader, the Islamic Revolution continues its path of progress, dignity, and strength with determination. He added:

“Today, the world witnesses the military power of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the dedication and remarkable achievements of the sons and daughters of this nation on the battlefield, the informed and conscious presence of the people in national affairs, and the scientific and technological accomplishments of our beloved country.”

Qalibaf emphasized that the “Old Man of Jamaran” (Imam Khomeini) always underscored Iran’s independence and dignity and regarded the United States as the “Great Satan” and an enemy of Iran and the Iranian people. He recalled Imam Khomeini’s words:

“I say with confidence that Islam will bring the superpowers to their knees in humiliation. America can do nothing. We will trample America underfoot. The great nation of Iran has descended upon America like a bolt of lightning.”

The Speaker of the Iranian Parliament said that Imam Khomeini taught the Iranian nation never to retreat in the face of bullying and domination. He added that today, inspired by that same school of thought, the Iranian people have demonstrated in their confrontation with the United States and the Zionist regime that the era of threatening Iran without consequences has come to an end, and that any act of aggression will be met with a firm, proportionate, and regret-inducing response.
