Gharibabadi: Imam Khamenei's martyrdom symbolizes enduring, deep-rooted U.S. hostility toward Iranian nation

Pars Today – Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister said in a message that the martyrdom of Imam Khamenei, the great Leader of the Islamic Revolution, symbolizes both the continuity and depth of U.S. hostility toward the Iranian nation and the Iranian people's enduring resistance against that hostility.

According to Pars Today, citing IRIB News, Kazem Gharibabadi, Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs, wrote in a post on X marking the anniversary of the downing of Iran's civilian airliner by the USS Vincennes:

"The 12th of Tir marks the anniversary of a crime in which the United States took the lives of 290 innocent people, including 66 children.

He added: "This crime will never be erased from the memory of the Iranian nation. A second crime began after the missile strike on the aircraft: denying responsibility, refusing to issue an official apology, and awarding a medal to the commander of the USS Vincennes.

Gharibabadi continued: "These days, alongside honoring the victims of Flight 655, the Iranian nation also commemorates its martyred Leader, Imam Khamenei."

He stressed: "For Iranians, the martyrdom of Imam Khamenei, the great Leader of the Islamic Revolution, symbolizes the enduring and profound hostility of the United States toward the Iranian nation, as well as the Iranian people's unwavering resistance in the face of that hostility."
