Pezeshkian: I have not bid farewell to martyred Leader and I never will

Pars Today – Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said, “I have said it before, and I say it again: I have not said goodbye to the martyred Leader, and I never will. He is alive in my heart and mind, and he will always remain so.”

According to Pars Today, citing IRNA, President Pezeshkian made the remarks on Saturday at the international conference “Imam Khamenei: The Eternal Leader of Resistance.” He thanked the many dignitaries and guests from around the world who attended the farewell and funeral ceremonies for the late Leader of the Islamic Revolution, expressing hope that their participation would help strengthen unity and solidarity among Muslims. He also said that the Islamic world should stand together against policies of terrorism, violence, and bloodshed pursued by dominant powers.

The Iranian president emphasized the exceptional stature of the martyred Leader, saying that his greatness, dignity, leadership, and steadfastness were beyond the power of words to describe. He added that the emotions, tears, and massive public participation seen during the mourning ceremonies were the clearest testimony to the late Leader’s standing among the Iranian people and freedom-seeking people around the world.

Pezeshkian also noted that throughout his years of leadership, the martyred leader consistently stressed the importance of unity within the Muslim world and delivered numerous speeches and statements calling for greater Islamic solidarity.

The Iranian president also referred to the crimes of Israel and U.S. support for the country, saying that the region is witnessing the targeted assassination of elites, scientists, and influential figures. He stated that such actions have taken place in Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Iran, and other regional countries, arguing that they are intended to weaken Muslim societies and create instability across the region.

Pezeshkian also stressed that calls for unity must be translated into practical action. He said Muslims should avoid any behavior that deepens social divisions or internal disputes and instead preserve solidarity and cohesion in order to stand against oppression, coercion, and domination.

Concluding his remarks, the Iranian president described the martyrdom of the late Leader of the Islamic Revolution as both a tragic and inspiring event. He said that the path, ideas, and message of divine leaders do not end with martyrdom but continue to live on, guiding future generations in the pursuit of truth, justice, and resistance.
