According to ParsToday, "Munir Shehadeh," a writer and former coordinator of the Lebanese government with the UN Interim Force in southern Lebanon (UNIFIL) and former head of Lebanon's Permanent Military Court, in an interview with IRNA on the occasion of the commencement of the funeral procession for the martyred Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the martyred leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, described him as one of the most influential figures in the contemporary history of West Asia. He noted that one of his prominent characteristics was the ability to turn challenges into opportunities for creating components of power—whether in the military, scientific, or economic spheres—while emphasizing the institutionalization of the concept of self-reliance.

Regarding the martyred leader of the Revolution's support for Palestine, this Lebanese figure stated: "He did not regard this issue as merely a matter belonging to the Palestinians, but rather considered it a moral and political criterion for evaluating the stances of governments and nations toward justice and independence."
