Iran’s National Security Council Secretary to Trump: Speak to Iranian people with respect

Pars Today – Iran’s Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, responding to threats by the U.S. president against the Iranian people, said: "Speak to the Iranian people with respect; otherwise, we will respond to you in another language."

According to Pars Today, citing Mehr News Agency, Mohammad Bagher Zolghadr, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, issued a firm response Monday night to Donald Trump’s threats against the Iranian people, saying:

"To the delusional U.S. president who today has threatened 91 million Iranians, I say: Previously, you, as the leader of a rootless country with a 250-year history, used similar rhetoric to speak of erasing Iran’s thousands-year-old civilization. The result for you was nothing but defeat, desperation, and a request for negotiations and a ceasefire. Iran is a nation unfamiliar with the language of threats."

He added: "So speak to the Iranian people with respect; otherwise, we will respond to you in another language."
