Pars Today – Iran's Defense Ministry spokesperson said the country has become the dominant power in the region and a competitor to major world powers by combining soft power rooted in a spirit of self-sacrifice with popular support and advances in military capabilities.

According to Pars Today, citing Mehr News Agency, Brigadier General Reza Talaei-Nik, spokesperson for Iran's Ministry of Defense, said in an interview explaining the role of the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution's ideas in strengthening Iran's Armed Forces that the foundation of the country's defense power rests on its beliefs, spiritual capacity, and soft power.

He added that the principal components of Iran's defense strength are faith in God, a spirit of self-sacrifice, courage, and strong public support. According to Talaei-Nik, these elements, combined with technological capabilities and advances in weaponry and military equipment, have created a unique and powerful combination.

Talaei-Nik also referred to the ideological foundations of Imam Khomeini and Imam Khamenei (God bless their souls), saying that in the thought of the two leaders of the Islamic Revolution, defense doctrine is based on religious principles, the mobilization of the people in national defense, and the power of faith as the foundation of military superiority.

He added that, by continuing the leadership path established by Imam Khomeini, the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution developed a comprehensive framework of defense thinking intended to endure for both the present and future generations. According to Talaei-Nik, this framework includes strategic defense guidance, a model of strategic military leadership, and cultural, spiritual, and social principles that have been central to Iran's defense doctrine.

Concluding his remarks, Talaei-Nik said that the reliance of the Iranian people, the country's fighters, and the institutions of the Islamic Republic on these defense principles and the leadership's decisive strategies had ensured past victories and would continue to do so in the future.
