Haji Babaei: Iran's response to any provocation in Caspian Sea will be regrettable

Pars Today – Iran's Deputy Speaker of Parliament warned that any provocation in the Caspian Sea would be met with a response that would leave those responsible with deep regret.

According to Pars Today, citing IRIB News Agency, Hamidreza Haji Babaei, Deputy Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, said in a speech before Monday's open parliamentary session, held via videoconference, that Hezbollah's pledge of allegiance to the Leader of the Muslim world and the commander of the resistance, Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei, represented the pinnacle of the Ummah and the victorious face of the resistance, adding that it had significant repercussions on the international stage, particularly in the region.

He went on to stress that the United States should not be allowed to decide when to wage war and when to declare a ceasefire, adding that the Islamic Republic of Iran must stand firmly against U.S. demands.

Haji Babaei also said that the Strait of Hormuz has become a major source of strength for the Iranian nation and described it as the peak of our power, emphasizing that this symbol of Iran's authority and national dignity must be protected and safeguarded.

Haji Babaei also warned Ukraine's backers, saying:

"We warn Ukraine's sponsors that any provocation carried out through your proxy in the region or in the Caspian Sea will be met with a response from the great Iranian nation that will leave you with deep regret."
