Baghaei: Funeral of Iran's martyred pilot honors a hero who remained true to his pledge to homeland till end

Pars Today – Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman, referring to the return and funeral of a fallen Iranian pilot, said the ceremony is a tribute to a hero who remained true to his pledge to the homeland until his final moments, adding that the nation is still waiting for the return of three other servicemen from the same mission.

According to Pars Today, citing IRNA, Esmaeil Baghaei, Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman, wrote in a post on X following the return of the body of Major General Pilot Majid Kazemi, who was martyred on March 2, 2026, during what he described as a combat mission defending Iran against U.S.-Israeli military aggression:

"The fearless eagles of the Iranian Air Force are of the kind who complete their mission, even if they themselves never return home."

Baghaei noted that the body of Brigadier General Pilot Majid Kazemi would be carried by his fellow servicemen and the people of Iran during funeral ceremonies held today and tomorrow before being laid to rest in Iranian soil. He said:

"This funeral is a tribute to a hero who remained faithful to his covenant with his homeland until his very last moment."

He added: "The eyes of an entire nation are still waiting for the three other martyrs from those two flights on March 2, 2026. Their names remain entrusted to the skies, and the shadow of their wings continues to haunt the enemy. Salute to all those who sacrificed their lives for the dignity and honor of Iran."
