Iran and Azerbaijan agree to expand cooperation in sports and youth affairs

Pars Today – Iran's Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs and Azerbaijan's Minister of Youth and Sports have emphasized the expansion of bilateral cooperation in sports and youth affairs during a meeting.

According to Pars Today, citing IRNA, Ahmad Donyamali, Iran's Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs, met with Farid Gayibov, Azerbaijan's Minister of Youth and Sports, and highlighted the two countries' extensive potential for cooperation.

Donyamali identified sports diplomacy, greater interaction between sports federations, joint training camps and competitions, exchanges of coaches and athletes, and cooperation in education and talent development as key areas of bilateral collaboration.

Azerbaijan's Minister of Youth and Sports welcomed the expansion of sporting ties with the Islamic Republic of Iran and reaffirmed his country's readiness to broaden cooperation across various areas of sports and youth affairs.
