Gen. Rezaei: Iranian nation has risen to restore its historic grandeur and glory

Pars Today – Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, Mohsen Rezaei, said that today, more than ever, national unity and solidarity between the people and officials are a strategic necessity. He stressed that for Iran to successfully navigate this proud historical juncture, it needs, above all, trust, stronger cohesion and national unity, and prudent decision-making.

According to Pars Today, citing IRNA, Mohsen Rezaei wrote in a message on Tuesday: “Today, the Islamic Republic of Iran is at one of the sensitive and decisive junctures in its contemporary history. The Iranian nation has risen in a great uprising and revolution to restore its historic grandeur and glory.”

The Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council stressed: “It must once again be emphasized that the Islamic Republic of Iran will not retreat from the rights and interests of its people in the face of any threat. Accordingly, decisions in this area must be made more forcefully than in the past, based on an accurate understanding of the situation and with prudence and courage.”

He emphasized: “The goal is not merely to get through a sensitive and perilous juncture. Rather, the aim is for Iran to emerge from this stage safer, more cohesive, more powerful, and with greater capacities for progress and development.”

The Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council stated: “It is evident that the Islamic Republic does not view national security separately from the peace of mind, welfare and livelihoods of the people, economic stability, social cohesion, defense capabilities, diplomatic power, and Iran’s social capital. All these components together constitute Iran’s national power and must serve a single objective: safeguarding Iran, the Islamic Revolution and its values, and the glorious future of the Iranian nation.”

The message further stated: “In the foreign policy arena as well, in accordance with the broad guidelines of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, the focus will be on strengthening deterrence capabilities, resisting the bullying of enemies, responding swiftly and decisively to any aggression, maximizing national welfare and the interests of the Islamic Republic of Iran at the regional and international levels, making use of diplomatic capacities, pursuing strong and assertive engagement, while at the same time maintaining the country’s readiness to confront any threat.”
