Maj. Gen. Abdollahi: Medical staff courage immortalized in Iran’s historical memory

Pars Today — Iran’s Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, in a message marking National Doctors’ Day, said the bravery of medical personnel has been immortalized in the historical memory of the Iranian nation.

According to Pars Today, citing IRNA, Major General Ali Abdollahi, Chief of Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces, issued the message on the occasion of the birthday anniversary of the renowned Iranian physician and scholar Avicenna, congratulating the country’s medical community on Doctors’ Day.

He said: “The glorious history of Iran has always been filled with the remarkable courage and self-sacrifice of this community—from their enthusiastic and dedicated presence in emergency medical teams and field hospitals during the eight-year Iran-Iraq War, to their around-the-clock, selfless efforts during the devastating COVID-19 pandemic, and their knowledgeable and voluntary service at medical centers treating those wounded and injured in recent battles. All of these efforts have been immortalized in the historical memory of the Iranian nation.”
