Baghaei: We will not allow end of war to be dictated by aggressor’s terms

Pars Today – Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei said: “We certainly did not start the war, but we will not allow the end of the war to be based on the conditions set by the aggressor.”

According to Pars Today, citing Mehr News Agency, Baghaei said at a press conference on Monday: “We will show no leniency toward the aggressor parties. Iran did not start the war; it defended its territorial sovereignty. We certainly did not start the war, but we will not allow the end of the war to be based on the aggressor’s terms.”

Regarding claims by US officials that the Strait of Hormuz is open, Baghaei said: “As the wise know, this is part of the psychological and media warfare launched by the opposing sides. Such a claim is not true.”

Referring to Asim Munir’s visit to Tehran, he stressed that bilateral relations between Iran and Pakistan are at one of their strongest points and that both sides are determined to expand ties in all areas.

Regarding the US economic war against Iran, Baghaei said: “It has become clear that the America that was supposed to come to the aid of Iranians is using every means at its disposal to punish them. The necessary warnings have certainly been issued in this regard. The current blockade of Iran’s maritime routes constitutes an act of aggression, and any escalation will certainly have consequences. We are not powerless.”

He added that under international law, other countries are not permitted to cooperate with the United States in such actions.
