Iran's Foreign Ministry: U.S. economic terrorism against the Iranian nation a crime against humanity

Pars Today – Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has described U.S. economic terrorism against the Iranian nation as a crime against humanity.

According to Pars Today, citing IRIB News Agency, Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement characterizing the use of economic terrorism against the Iranian nation as an instance of state terrorism and a crime against humanity, and declared: The indifference of the United Nations system toward such illegal actions is a factor in the emergence of the most severe international crimes and jeopardizes regional and global order as well as human civilization.

The statement further reads: The U.S. exploitation of the dollar leverage as a tool to intimidate other countries into complying with its interventionist policies, in relation to Iran, constitutes a violation of national sovereignty and the right to self-determination of all member states of the United Nations.

Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that all countries are obligated to refrain from enforcing U.S. sanctions against Iran.
