Ghalibaf: Iran has made a decade’s worth of military progress over past 15 months

Pars Today — The Speaker of Iran’s Parliament said that over the past 15 months, Iran has made as much progress in the military field as it would normally make in a decade, adding that Iran has been able to rebuild its military capabilities more extensively than its adversary.

According to Pars Today, citing IRNA, Mohammad Baqer Ghalibaf made the remarks in a video address to the Iranian people released on Tuesday, September 1. Reporting on Iran’s latest situation, he highlighted key developments across four fronts — the military, diplomacy, public services, and the streets.

On the military front, the Iranian Armed Forces, contrary to the claims made by the enemy, are successfully carrying out the process of rebuilding and strengthening their military capabilities and are making significant progress in restoring military equipment as well as in both offensive and defensive capabilities.

The Iranian Parliament speaker added that the clear reason for this is that Iran’s technology is domestically developed and that Iranian youth are carrying out this work without having to rely on the enemy.

Ghalibaf stressed that the strikes carried out against U.S. bases in various locations and countries after the ceasefire and the implementation of the memorandum of understanding had strategic significance. He said these strikes led the enemy to conclude that it could no longer stop Iran’s missiles or counter the country’s missile firepower.

The Speaker of Iran’s Parliament warned the country’s enemies, stressing that in every phase of the war, Iran has gained greater superiority both qualitatively and quantitatively, in terms of precision, strikes, and operational planning. He added that the enemy’s air defense capabilities, both radar and missile systems, became considerably more vulnerable during the Ramadan War.

Ghalibaf added: “Under these difficult conditions, Iran’s Armed Forces have remained at missile launchers and missile bases, on the waves and in the sweltering heat of the south, in the blue waters of the Persian Gulf, and far from their families. In reality, it is through their efforts that they have created this peace, dignity, and pride.”

Regarding the latest developments in the Strait of Hormuz, the Speaker of Iran’s Parliament said: “We are engaged in an all-out and complex military war with the enemy. At certain points, the enemy has achieved limited success and has, for example, managed to allow several ships to pass. But the main point is that Iran’s Armed Forces have full control of the Strait and are not allowing it to reopen.”

Ghalibaf stressed: “Wherever Iran’s Armed Forces detect any movement by the enemy, they respond with strength and precision and do not allow them to pass through the Strait.”
