Pars Today- The head of Iran’s Basij Organization said that an army that targets schools and wedding ceremonies is no longer the army of a superpower, but rather a criminal and child-killing military.

According to Pars Today, citing IRNA, Hojjatoleslam Hossein Taeb said in remarks on Tuesday that in the past, it was believed that the United States and Europe, relying on scientific and technological development, would continue along the path they had embarked on 250 years ago with the U.S. Declaration of Independence—that is, creating the world’s scientific dependence on the West, gaining control over a large share of global wealth creation, and consolidating scientific and technological dominance over the world. “But where has this process led today?”

The head of Iran’s Basij Organization added that the rapid pace of domestic developments in the United States and the deep divisions that had emerged within the country led Washington to change course and move toward greater reliance on military power.

“They have used all their military and political capabilities to address their challenges in the region and around the world. From financing to supplying the most advanced weapons and extensively transferring equipment and ammunition, they have also activated the war machine of Israel,” he said.

Hojjatoleslam Taeb noted: “If during the first war, the United States was forced to deploy two-thirds of its forces in the region over eight years, today we are witnessing a situation in which a large portion of the U.S. forces and its special operational capabilities have also entered the battlefield. Nevertheless, they were forced to accept defeat, and the prestige of the U.S. military was shattered on the battlefield.”

He stressed: “An army that targets schools and wedding ceremonies is no longer the army of a superpower; rather, it is a criminal and child-killing military.”

The head of Iran’s Basij Organization added: “The world is witnessing today how an army with a budget approaching one trillion dollars was defeated by an army with a single-digit budget. This is precisely the point that shows that military power alone cannot guarantee a country’s superiority and hegemony in the global order.”

Referring to the contradictory statements made by officials of the enemy, Hojjatoleslam Taeb said: “On the one hand, they claim that we have destroyed the naval forces, air forces and the entire capabilities of the resistance forces. But the fundamental question is: If you have destroyed everything, why are you still fighting, and why is your entire concern focused on controlling the Strait of Hormuz? This blatant contradiction is clear evidence of their desperation and definitive defeat in this battlefield against Iran.”
