Maj. Gen. Rezaei: US has resorted to air blockade out of desperation

Pars Today- Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) stressed that Iran’s conditions have been conveyed to the United States, but Trump is unable to make decisions, and the US, out of desperation in the military conflict, has resorted to an air blockade.

Citing IRIB, Pars Today reported that Major General Mohsen Rezaei, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, said during a meeting with Shahin Mustafayev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, that the US and Israeli regime’s attack on Iran was contrary to international law, adding that Iran had powerfully defended itself in response to the war.

Maj. Gen. Rezaei added: “Trump is trapped in a quagmire where he can neither negotiate nor fight.”

The SNSC secretary, referring to the region’s historical developments, stressed that many foreigners have come and gone throughout history, but Iran and the countries of the region have remained.

Shahin Mustafayev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, also described Iran as a friendly and brotherly country and rejected speculation that Azerbaijani territory could be used against Iran.

The meeting also focused on agreed economic projects between the two countries, including the Aras Corridor, cooperation in the fields of water and energy, securing the borders, and combating the smuggling of goods and narcotics.
