Raising picture of Algerian judoka in Iran's Majlis
Amir Hossein Sabeti, the parliamentarian from Tehran, in his speech in the Majlis, held up the picture of the Algerian judo practitioner, Masoud Idris, who had refrained competing with the Israeli athlete as a sign of sympathy with and support for the defenseless Palestinian people, and appreciating his act, invited him to travel to Iran.
Support for ethnicities and divine religions
Ara Shaverdian, the member of parliament of the Armenians of Tehran and the north of the country, said during the 13th session of the UN Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination in Geneva, "The Islamic Republic of Iran observes the necessary support for Iranian ethnicities and divine religions. The support for persons, groups and religions against hate-mongering and seditionist measures are among the values supported by the Iranian lawmaker."
Approval of numerous laws in Iran's Majlis in support for Palestine
Seyyed Mojtaba Abtahi. Secretary General of the International Conference to Support Palestinian People, affiliated to the Iranian Majils (parliament), in his meeting with some senior members of the political bureau of Islamic resistance of Palestine (Hamas) including Osama Hamdan, Ali Abu Shahin, Khaled Qoddumi, Nasser Abu Sharif, and some members of the media of resistance, said, "The Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran has ratified numerous laws in support for Palestine which indicate a serious resolve to encounter the Qods-Occupying regime and the world of Arrogance."
Holding 70 sessions to examine records and programs of proposed ministers of 14th cabinet
Hojjat-ol-Islam Alireza Salimi, spokesman of the presiding board of the Iranian parliament, referring to examining the qualification and programs of the proposed ministers of the 14th administration in the specialized commissions of the parliament, stated, "70 sessions have already been held to review the record and programs of the proposed ministers. 27 of Mordad (August 17) the sessions for vote of confidence will be held with the president in attendance."
Qalibaf's letter to world speakers
Iranian Majlis Speaker, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, in a letter to his counterparts in the world, stressed that the UN Security Council is duty-bound to take immediate and serious measure to stop the crimes of the Zionist regime in Gaza which are being committed with the direct and all-out support of the US and some of the Western countries.
