Sinking of Zionist-linked ship: Yemeni-style retaliation in support of the people of Gaza
Pars Today – The spokesperson for Yemen’s Armed Forces announced that a commercial vessel bound for the occupied port of Umm al-Rashrash (Eilat) was targeted and sunk.
On Wednesday, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces, issued a statement declaring that:
In support of the oppressed Palestinian people and the heroic resistance fighters, Yemen’s naval forces targeted the commercial ship ETERNITY C, which was en route to the Zionist-occupied port of Umm al-Rashrash.
The vessel was struck using one drone and six cruise and ballistic missiles, resulting in its complete sinking. The operation, he noted, was fully documented in both audio and video.
According to Pars Today, Brig. Gen. Saree added that a special unit from the Yemeni navy was dispatched to rescue some of the ship’s crew, who were then given initial medical care and transferred to a safe location.
In the statement, he emphasized that the targeted ship and its owning company had violated the declared ban on dealings with the port of Umm al-Rashrash, continuing operations in defiance of prior warnings and messages issued by the Yemeni navy.
Yahya Saree reiterated Yemen’s commitment to block all maritime traffic linked to the Zionist regime in both the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea, warning that any company dealing with ports in occupied Palestine will be targeted, regardless of the ship’s location or route.
The statement explained that these military actions are intended to pressure the Zionist regime and its allies into lifting the siege on Gaza, halting the aggression, and ending the blatant genocide being carried out against the Palestinian people.
The spokesman further stressed that Yemen’s military operations in support of the oppressed people of Palestine and their noble resistance will continue until the aggression fully ends and the blockade of Gaza is lifted.
On Monday as well, the Yemeni Armed Forces had announced in a statement that their naval, missile, and drone units had launched a large-scale operation targeting the commercial ship Magic Seas, which is owned by a company with a known history of violating the ban on entering ports in occupied Palestine.
According to the official statement, Monday’s operation was carried out in solidarity with the suffering of the Palestinian people and as part of Yemen’s continued naval blockade of Zionist ships in the Red Sea and Arabian Sea.
Yahya Saree said that the attack involved two UUVs, five ballistic and cruise missiles, and three combat UAVs.
He added that the ship Magic Seas was hit directly, and that Yemeni forces allowed the crew to safely evacuate.
Following the announcement, the Yemeni Armed Forces released footage showing the complete sinking of the Magic Seas.
