Bombs were expensive, bullets cheap! A look at U.S.-Israeli strategy of killing Palestinians in food lines

Pars Today – The Zionist regime, in its 23rd month of war on Gaza – during which it has committed genocide against Palestinians in the Strip with unprecedented brutality and cruelty while employing starvation as a weapon – has now devised a new method for the so-called "low-cost killing" of Gaza's residents.
Currently, the massacre of Gaza's residents at or near aid distribution centers and humanitarian convoys has become routine - all within the framework of restricting the entry of food, fuel and relief supplies into Gaza. This has been particularly evident since the establishment of food distribution points operated by the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF).
According to Pars Today, Israel, with U.S. support, has deliberately and systematically targeted innocent civilians waiting in long lines for food or water at distribution centers, repeatedly opening fire on and massacring them. Investigations reveal this is a premeditated strategy aimed at reducing the costs of mass killing.
So far, the Zionist regime has used a wide range of expensive munitions — including bunker busters and precision-guided bombs — to kill Gaza residents. Statistics show that from the start of the Gaza war on October 7, 2023, until the end of President Joe Biden’s term in January 2025, the U.S. has provided Israel with at least $17.9 billion in military assistance. This trend continued during Donald Trump’s presidency as well, including the delivery of 2,000 bunker buster bombs for use in Gaza, which is a tremendous cost.
Certainly, as the Gaza war persists, the military officials of this regime have sought cheaper and more cost-effective methods for massacring Palestinians in Gaza. They are now implementing the so-called "baiting" tactic for Gaza people—establishing centers that ostensibly distribute food and water but have effectively become slaughterhouses for Palestinians.
The United Nations Office for Human Rights recently announced that, over the past six weeks, it has documented at least 798 killings at aid distribution points in Gaza operated by the so-called Gaza Humanitarian Foundation — an organization backed by the United States and the Zionist regime.
Ravina Shamdasani, spokesperson for the UN human rights office, stated at a press briefing in Geneva:
“From May 27 to July 7, we have recorded 798 killings, including 615 near Gaza Humanitarian Foundation centers and 183 likely along the routes leading to these sites.”
The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) relies on private American security and logistics firms to deliver supplies to Gaza, largely bypassing the UN-run system known as UNRWA.
Following the martyrdom of hundreds of Palestinian civilians who attempted to reach GHF aid centers located in areas under Israeli military control, the United Nations declared GHF’s aid delivery model inherently unsafe and in violation of the core principles of humanitarian neutrality.
The circulation of numerous video clips showing Israeli army soldiers — as well as American personnel affiliated with the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation — firing on defenseless civilians in Gaza strongly suggests that this is a deliberate operation by the Zionists and their American partners to massacre Palestinians — and to do so at minimal cost.
On Sunday, the Israeli newspaper Haaretz reported that the Israeli military has been hiring private contractors to demolish Palestinian homes in Gaza. According to one Israeli soldier stationed there, “Each private contractor operating in Gaza with engineering equipment receives 5,000 shekels (approximately $1,500) per house demolished. They're making a lot of money.”
In order to earn an additional 5,000 shekels, the contractors—accompanied by security forces—position themselves near aid distribution points or along the routes used by humanitarian convoys. They then open fire on Palestinians waiting to receive aid, effectively clearing the way for the demolition of Palestinian homes.
On June 4, 2025, Ayatollah Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, stated:
“It was hard to believe that they would devise such criminal plans. Look —they would drop a bomb and destroy one or two houses, martyring maybe ten or fifteen people. Then they realized that wasn’t enough. So what do they do now? They establish a so-called ‘food distribution center’ — because food is not allowed into Gaza — and as people rush to get food, they open fire with machine guns and kill ten times more than they did with bombs! Killing people had become expensive for them — so they made it cheap. Instead of using bombs, they now use bullets. It’s astonishing.”
