Pars Today – The Secretary-General of Hezbollah in Lebanon emphasized that the enemy has reached a dead end and that the government must not engage in direct negotiations with the Zionists.

According to Pars Today, Sheikh Naim Qassem, Secretary-General of Hezbollah, said in a statement on Monday that the enemy has reached an impasse and that the resistance will remain strong and continuous, and its defeat is not possible.

He stated: “We categorically reject direct negotiations, and those in positions of power in Lebanon should know that their actions will not serve Lebanon’s interests nor their own. The government cannot continue on its current path while compromising Lebanon’s rights and territory; it must return to the people and become a government of the people.”

The Secretary-General of Hezbollah added: “One of the responsibilities of the government is to halt direct negotiations with the Israeli enemy and return to indirect negotiations. The weapons of the Resistance exist to confront aggression and to defend our very existence, and we will not abandon our weapons or our right to self‑defense.”

Sheikh Naim Qassem said: “Our only solution is the cessation of aggression, the withdrawal of Israel from the occupied territories, the release of prisoners, the return of people to their areas, and reconstruction. The government must revoke its decision of March 2, which criminalized the Resistance and the people, so that we can continue the internal dialogue—dialogue whose priority must be Lebanon’s interests. The solution lies in recognizing that the main problem is aggression, and that the Resistance is a reaction to aggression, not a cause of it.”

He emphasized: “After the legendary steadfastness of the Resistance and the people, had it not been for the negotiations of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Pakistan, the ceasefire in Lebanon would not have happened. We will not return to the period before March 2. We will confront Israel’s aggressions and respond to them, and no matter how much the enemy threatens, we will neither retreat, nor bow down, nor be defeated.”
