People of Saada thank Iran for efforts to break blockade on Yemen
Pars Today — Thousands of residents of Yemen’s Saada Province issued a statement on Friday expressing their gratitude to the Islamic Republic of Iran and the brotherly and courageous people of Iran for humanitarian efforts to help break the blockade on Yemen.
According to Pars Today, citing IRNA, thousands of people in Saada Province, north of the Yemeni capital, Sana’a, took to the streets on Friday in response to a call by Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, leader of Yemen’s Ansarullah movement, to hold demonstrations under the slogan “Mobilization as a Warning.”
Participants in the rally chanted slogans including, “Aggression will be met with aggression” and “Blockade will be met with blockade.”
In a statement read by one of Saada’s officials, the demonstrators said that Friday’s unprecedented mass rally served as a warning to representatives of Israel, the United States, and the United Kingdom in the region, as well as to Saudi Arabia.
The statement also emphasized the need for public mobilization to break the blockade, end foreign aggression and occupation, reclaim Yemen’s resources, and uphold the Yemeni people’s freedom, dignity, and faith-based pride.
The people of Saada further thanked the Islamic Republic of Iran and the brotherly and courageous people of Iran for their humanitarian and voluntary efforts aimed at ending the blockade on Yemen.
