More than 1.81 million Arbaeen pilgrims from 172 countries entered Iraq
Pars Today – The head of Iraq's Security Media Cell announced that 1,813,188 pilgrims from 172 countries have entered Iraq since the beginning of the Islamic month of Muharram to participate in the Arbaeen pilgrimage.
According to Pars Today, citing IRNA, Saad Maan, head of Iraq's Security Media Cell, said the figures reflect the remarkable scale of global participation in the Arbaeen pilgrimage.
Maan stated that the numbers highlight not only the international significance of Arbaeen but also the Iraqi security forces' ability to efficiently manage millions of visitors through integrated security and organizational plans.
He added that, with the direct support of the Iraqi Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, as well as the on-the-ground supervision of the Higher Committee for the Arbaeen Pilgrimage and coordination among all relevant ministries, institutions, and agencies, Iraqi authorities have worked to ensure the successful organization of the event.
According to Maan, these efforts have helped provide a safe, secure, and integrated service environment for pilgrims from the moment they enter Iraq until they reach the holy shrines.
He also noted that various segments of Iraqi society have played a significant role in ensuring the successful organization of the Arbaeen pilgrimage in a manner befitting the importance of the major religious occasion.
