Yemeni Foreign Ministry: Saudi violation of Yemeni airspace will be met with legal response

Pars Today — Yemen's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that Saudi Arabia's violation of Yemeni airspace is an unacceptable act and will be met with a response guaranteed by international norms, laws, and treaties.

According to Pars Today, citing Al-Masirah, Yemen's Foreign Ministry emphasized that the downing of drones belonging to Saudi Arabia in Yemeni skies proves the airspace violation and entitles Yemen to respond reciprocally to this action.

Addressing those who condemn Yemen's opposition to the violation of its airspace, the Ministry said: "If you do not approve of such an action, open your own skies to Saudi aircraft so they may fly freely and strike any target they wish."

Yemen's Foreign Ministry added that Yemen will never accept violations of its airspace and will respond to such actions in a manner that preserves its sovereignty.

The spokesman for Yemen's Armed Forces recently reported the downing of a Saudi reconnaissance drone, type "Wing Loong II," in the skies of Al-Bayda province, stressing that Yemeni forces will respond to any violation of the country's airspace and sovereignty. This incident occurred following a Saudi airstrike on Sanaa International Airport, to which Yemen's Armed Forces responded by targeting Saudi Arabia's Abha Airport.
