Pars Today – On the day of Arbaeen, the holy city of Karbala has been immersed in mourning and devotion to Imam Hussein (pbuh).

The city, filled with the chants of “Labbayk Ya Hussein” and black mourning flags, has witnessed the passionate presence of pilgrims from around the world who have traveled to visit Imam Hussein, the grandson of the Prophet of Islam, and commemorate the Master of Martyrs in a renewed expression of love, loyalty, and devotion.

According to Pars Today, citing IRNA, the Arbaeen walk, this massive gathering, is a tangible manifestation of the cultural, social, and civilizational capacities of the Islamic world, bringing together millions of people every year from different nations, languages, and cultures around a shared axis: Imam Hussein, whose message is described as freedom, justice, and human dignity.

In this regard, the Arbaeen Command and Control Center affiliated with Iraq’s Security Information Unit announced in a statement that updated figures as of Monday showed that the total number of pilgrims who have entered Iraq since the beginning of Muharram has reached 4,887,660 people.

The statement added that the arrival of pilgrims from various countries to commemorate the Arbaeen pilgrimage of Imam Hussein (pbuh), the grandson of the Prophet of Islam, is continuing.
