Sheikh Naim Qassem: Iran has emerged victorious in its confrontation with the US and the Zionist regime

ParsToday — The Secretary-General of Lebanon's Hezbollah, referring to US and Zionist regime efforts to remove obstacles to implementing their plans in the region and their failure to achieve their goals, has emphasized that Iran has emerged victorious in its confrontation with the US and the Zionist regime.

According to ParsToday, citing IRNA, Sheikh Naim Qassem, Secretary-General of Lebanon's Hezbollah, said in remarks on Tuesday: "We are facing a US-Israeli attack on Lebanon, Gaza, Iran, Iraq, and Yemen aimed at extinguishing resistance and colonizing the region."

He added: "In Lebanon, the goal of the September 2024 attack was to end the resistance and uproot it, but we confronted them and forced them into an agreement in which they were compelled to recognize the resistance."

He added: "What stopped the brutal and widespread attacks on Lebanon was Iran's condition in the US-Iran memorandum of understanding. Iran placed Lebanon's issue in the first clause of the memorandum and stressed that attacks on Lebanon must stop and that Israel must withdraw."

The Secretary-General of Lebanon's Hezbollah stated: "Direct negotiations (by the Lebanese government) with the Israeli enemy yield nothing but disgrace, frustration, and concessions for Lebanon. Israel has gained political achievements, but with the presence of the resistance, it will not gain field achievements."

The Secretary-General of Hezbollah further emphasized that the tyrannical America and the Zionist regime sought to overthrow the system in Iran and end Iran's revolutionary, resistant, and Islamic presence, but they failed. "Iran stands firm with its army, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, its people, and its strong leadership."

Sheikh Naim Qassem stressed: "The resistance will continue as long as occupation exists, and we will confront anyone who enters the Israeli project. We are committed to a united and indivisible Lebanon and will not abandon our land."

Sheikh Naim Qassem also said: "The only option before the Israeli enemy is the complete withdrawal of this regime, and it will eventually withdraw. We will not forget Gaza and Palestine; this brutal aggression must stop."
