Iran to launch 3 satellites into space
Pars Today — The head of Iran’s Space Organization announced that three satellites will be launched into space within the next two months.
On Monday, Hassan Salarieh, head of Iran’s Space Organization, speaking at a space technology event in Tehran, highlighted the importance of satellite data-based services and stated that three Iranian satellites — Zafar, Paya, and Kowsar — are scheduled to be launched in early winter.
According to Pars Today, he also noted Iran’s international collaborations in the space sector, mentioning joint projects with China on lunar missions and research cooperation with ECO member countries. These collaborations include training, promotion, and satellite data-based services.
The head of Iran’s Space Organization also referred to the country’s space bases, stating that the Almas and Konaran space bases are in their final stages and that operations at these facilities will begin soon.
Netherlands seeks to legalize ban on imports of Israeli products
David van Weel, the Dutch Foreign Minister, said that the country is still preparing specific legislation to ban the import of products made in Israeli settlements in the Palestinian territories. Caspar Veldkamp, former Dutch Foreign Minister, and eight other cabinet members had previously resigned due to the government’s refusal to act on their proposals against Israel. Veldkamp and the other ministers had called for measures including sanctions on products from illegal Israeli settlements and a halt to arms purchases from the Israeli regime.
Poland: NATO disrupted by Trump administration’s unpredictability
Donald Tusk, Poland’s Prime Minister, stated that NATO has been thrown into disarray due to the unpredictability of the Donald Trump administration. He added that whoever occupies the White House, Europe must take responsibility for its own defense, as it bears a much greater responsibility for maintaining peace and security. Tusk emphasized the need to continue supporting Kyiv in its war against Moscow and warned that if Ukraine is defeated in this conflict, Poland’s situation will fundamentally worsen.
Ulyanov calls on Washington to clarify resumption of nuclear tests
Mikhail Ulyanov, Russia’s permanent representative to international organizations in Vienna, said in his speech at the 65th session of the Preparatory Commission of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO): “We believe that the U.S. side must provide a clear and detailed explanation regarding its position on the resumption of nuclear testing.”
Referring to the fact that Russia, like other members of the treaty as well as the Provisional Technical Secretariat of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization, has the right to receive a clear response, he added: “This issue pertains to the very nature and purpose of the treaty, and we expect the United States to provide an appropriate response without further delay.”
Preliminary approval of draft law on execution of Palestinian prisoners in Israel
On Monday evening, the Israeli parliament gave preliminary approval to a draft law that could lead to the execution of hundreds of Palestinian prisoners. The next step is for the draft to be reviewed in the specialized committees of the parliament. Following the preliminary approval, Itamar Ben-Gvir, Israel’s minister of internal security, reportedly became extremely excited and distributed sweets in the parliament.
