Pars Today – The Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army stressed that today the Army’s mission is to safeguard Iran’s territorial integrity and the country’s independence.

Major General Amir Hatami, Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army, said on Monday that the Army is constantly working to enhance its readiness to confront asymmetric and irregular threats. He stated: “We closely monitor all enemy movements, and we will respond decisively to any act of aggression.”
According to Pars Today, General Hatami added that the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran, with firm determination and resolve, has brought everything necessary into action to confront its enemies. All training and exercises are conducted in line with military principles—especially passive defense—and are realistically prepared for the battlefield.

Zelensky: Talks to end the war with Russia are nearing results

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that negotiating delegations are working on a 20-point peace plan, adding that talks with the United States and European countries to end the nearly four-year war with Russia are very close to achieving tangible results.

Maduro: U.S. actions threaten international system

Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro warned of a dangerous escalation in aggressive actions by the U.S. administration, stressing that the consequences will go beyond Venezuela’s borders. He said the U.S. government is threatening to destabilize the entire region and even the international system.

Russian diplomat: Iran has the right to maintain its nuclear program

Mikhail Ulyanov, Russia’s representative to international organizations, emphasized Iran’s right to have a nuclear program. Responding to claims by former U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Ulyanov said that under the Non-Proliferation Treaty, Iran has the right to a peaceful nuclear program, adding that Pompeo apparently is unaware of this.

Israeli army radio to be shut down

Israel’s Channel 12 reported that the Israeli cabinet on Monday unanimously approved a proposal by war minister Israel Katz to shut down the Israeli Army Radio. Under the cabinet’s decision, the radio station will cease operations on March 1, after 75 years of activity.
