Pars Today – Iran’s ambassador and permanent representative to the United Nations, emphasizing Tehran’s refusal to yield to pressure, stated: “Iran remains committed to principled diplomacy, and the responsibility for rebuilding trust now lies with France, the United Kingdom, and the United States.”

“Amir Saeed Iravani,” Iran’s ambassador and permanent representative to the United Nations, stated on Tuesday at a UN Security Council session regarding Resolution 2231:

“UN Security Council Resolution 2231 contains an explicit, deliberate, and self-executing termination clause; this resolution expired on October 18, 2025, and from that date, it has lost any legal effect or executive mandate. Accordingly, the Security Council’s role under Resolution 2231 has definitively ended.”

According to Pars Today, he added: “We had carried out all necessary diplomatic measures, but the other side breached its commitments.”

Iravani emphasized that Iran remains committed to principled diplomacy and that the responsibility for rebuilding trust now rests with France, the United Kingdom, and the United States. He stressed: “Iran will never bow to force or threats and will continue uranium enrichment.”

Venezuelan parliament approves law to counter economic blockade

Amid Washington’s threats to Caracas, the Venezuelan Parliament unanimously passed a law aimed at protecting freedom of navigation and trade, designed to counter economic blockades and illegal international actions. Libyan plane crashes in Turkey
