Major General Seyyed Abdolrahim Mousavi, Chief of Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces, reacted on Sunday to the recent remarks made by Donald Trump, President of the United States.
According to Pars Today, Major General Mousavi said that the U.S. president’s statements—claiming superpower status—are not befitting of a head of state and are reckless.
The Chief of Staff further posed this question: If Trump intends to wage war, why does he speak of negotiations? Trump should know that he would be entering a lesson-teaching battle, the consequences of which would ensure that he no longer blusters around the world.
Der Spiegel: Talks on financing Ukraine with Russian assets collapse
Amid the ongoing Russia–Ukraine war, the German magazine Der Spiegel reported that negotiations among European countries over the use of frozen Russian assets to finance Ukraine failed to reach an agreement on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference.
Der Spiegel added that Berlin once again was unable to advance its proposal to use €90 billion of Russia’s frozen financial assets to fund additional arms purchases from the United States.
