Pars Today – Japan’s prime minister has explicitly stated in a parliamentary session that Tokyo has no plans to deploy military forces to conduct mine‑clearing operations in the Strait of Hormuz.
According to Pars Today, Sanae Takaichi in response to questions from members of the Japanese Parliament, denied reports suggesting the country’s possible participation in military‑engineering operations in the Strait of Hormuz. She added that despite concerning reports about alleged Iranian mining activities in the Strait’s waters, Japan is seeking diplomatic and non‑military solutions to ensure its energy security.
The Islamic Republic closed the Strait of Hormuz—one of the world’s most vital waterways—following US and Israeli attacks against Iran.
