Pars Today — The United Nations Human Rights Council has issued a statement condemning the Zionist regime's aggression against Lebanon.
According to Pars Today, citing Mehr News Agency, the UN Human Rights Council issued a statement on Wednesday regarding the Zionist regime's aggression against Lebanon, stating: UN experts condemned Israel's bombing of Lebanon after the ceasefire announcement.
The statement issued by the UN Human Rights Council read: The experts call on the United States to use its influence to ensure the cessation of Israeli attacks on Lebanon. UN experts also called on all member states to halt the transfer of weapons to the Zionist regime.
Earlier, 10 countries including Australia, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Indonesia, Japan, Jordan, Sierra Leone, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom, in a joint statement, expressed deep concern over the humanitarian situation and the massive displacement crisis in Lebanon and called for an immediate end to the hostilities in the country.
On the other hand, Bernie Sanders, the prominent US senator, warned about the warmongering nature of the Israeli prime minister, stating that Gaza and Iran were not enough for [stoking conflict by] Netanyahu, and that he has now launched an all-out war against Lebanon.
Sanders' remarks come as the Israeli regime's air force continues its airstrikes on various areas in Lebanon.
