Pars Today – In an analytical report, The New York Times described the joint U.S.–Israeli military aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran as a turning point in the decline of the American empire, writing that U.S. President Donald Trump, with this military adventure, created exactly the same quagmire for the United States that he had promised to escape from.
According to Pars Today, the New York Times report states: “The U.S. and Israeli attack on Iran was more than just a bad idea; it has become a turning point in the erosion of the American empire.” The report adds: “This attack was not only an extremely bad idea, but it has also brought the U.S. military to the brink of exhaustion and, by depleting strategic missile reserves, severely weakened Washington’s deterrent power against rivals such as China.”
U.S. Congressman: Trump has only increased Americans’ costs by waging war against Iran
Meanwhile, Brendan Boyle, a Democratic member of the U.S. Congress, criticized the joint U.S.–Israeli military action against Iran, saying: “By starting a war against Iran, Donald Trump has only increased the financial burden on the American people.” He added: “At a time when economic pressure on Americans is rising, Trump is only seeking to highlight his own role in affairs and wants to put everything in his own name.”
The Democratic congressman further noted: “No president in American history has ever been so indifferent to the lives of ordinary people.”
