Pars Today – As the summer travel season begins and fuel inventories in the United States continue to decline, data from the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) indicate that, if the current trend persists, 2026 will be recorded as the longest continuous period of gasoline inventory declines in the country's history.

According to Pars Today, citing IRNA, data from the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) show that gasoline prices in the United States have risen by 50 percent since the attacks against Iran began on February 28, breaking the highest price record of the past four years.

According to the report, the current average price of gasoline in the United States stands at nearly $4.33 per gallon. However, after 15 consecutive weeks of declining gasoline inventories—which have pushed U.S. fuel stocks to their lowest level for this time of year since 2014—prices are likely to rise further.

The Guardian: “Iran should not be underestimated”

Meanwhile, the British newspaper The Guardian, in an analysis by political correspondent Robert Tait, wrote that Iran is a rival that should not be underestimated.

David Hearst, a British journalist, also wrote in an article published by Middle East Eye that Iran has gained the upper hand, while the United States and Israel have failed to achieve their objectives.
