Democratic lawmaker: U.S. should not spend a single cent on Israeli genocide

Pars Today – Palestinian American Democratic lawmaker Rashida Tlaib said she will support a bill to block approximately $3.3 billion in U.S. military aid to Israel, declaring that the United States should not spend "a single cent" on Israel's genocide.

According to Pars Today, citing IRNA, Tlaib wrote on the social media platform X:

"We should not spend a single cent to arm an army that is committing genocide in Palestine, carrying out ethnic cleansing in Lebanon, and committing war crimes in Iran."

She added that a majority of Americans, along with an overwhelming majority of Democrats, support ending U.S. military assistance to Israel, saying it is time for lawmakers to listen to their constituents.

Other Democratic members of Congress, including Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Greg Casar, and Ilhan Omar, have also announced that they will vote in favor of the bill.

The legislation was introduced by Republican Representative Thomas Massie, who has opposed U.S. military interventions abroad, including the war against Iran.
